One of my goals this winter was to create an online presence for many of my images that sit around on my computer. It's tragic, really, that these images have been tucked away for so long. These images didn't fit categorically with my current website so I made another one! I used one of Into The Dark Room's Dreamsites (they're the same people that built this custom blog you're looking at) and it's perfect for what I needed! I'm stoked with how everything turned out and am even more excited to share some of the chapters of my life with everyone. I will be continually adding images to CARL//WAS//HERE so check back every now and then!

I've been more and more convinced that art is something that needs to be expressed, shared and experienced. With that being said, I hope you enjoy these random scenes from my life.

Never stop doing what you love. Enjoy life.

Cara and I were in LA last week working on a few different photo assignments and a personal photo project that I've recently started. We're coming out of our winter hibernation so this trip was refreshing for so many different reasons. We shot nearly every day, hung out with some of our favorite people and saw parts of highway 101 flooded. I have to say that this was one of my favorite trips, hands down.

These are some extra shots I took with my Holga while working on a photo project in Malibu last week. I can't find words for how stoked I am about these. Light leaks are always welcome! I'm excited to share the rest of the images later on down the road. I'm also tempted to blow up the palm tree photo to an inappropriate size.
