This post has been a long time coming! Last January my good friend Ryan Daniel Dobson hired us to photograph his family (check out their family session here) as well as himself for an online portfolio that he's been working pretty hard on. Cara and I quickly jumped on the idea and headed out to Los Angeles to work on these different projects. Basically what you see below is a variety of looks, concepts and locations for Ryan's site. I can't get over how much fun I had shooting in the mountains of Malibu and downtown Los Angeles during the day and late at night.

Take a look at Ryan's site here. It's pretty awesome. You might have seen him on a recent episode of Castle as well as How I Met Your Mother!

We enjoyed our time with the Dobsons! Ryan and I are working on our own side photo projects so it was awesome to bounce ideas off of each other and dream about some of our future endeavors. I look forward to those coming to fruition.

Enjoy!

Cara and I were in LA last week working on a few different photo assignments and a personal photo project that I've recently started. We're coming out of our winter hibernation so this trip was refreshing for so many different reasons. We shot nearly every day, hung out with some of our favorite people and saw parts of highway 101 flooded. I have to say that this was one of my favorite trips, hands down.
